happy hour for project michelle/cammy lee leukemia foundation

New York! Your help is needed. Sumi informs me that she's hosting a happy hour marrow donor registration drive to benefit Project Michelle and the Cammy Lee Leukemia Foundation this Friday, February 13 at Solas in New York City. Come on out and learn more about joining the registry and helping out this important cause. Here are the event details:

Time: 6 - 9pm

Place: Solas (upstairs lounge)
232 E 9th St, between 2nd Ave & Stuyvesant St.

As of August 2007, there are only 8.5% registered Asian-Americans in the National Marrow Donor Program: the largest-represented specific ethnic group, South Asians, barely represent 2.0% of registrants, while Vietnamese registrants only make up 0.2% of the total registry. This is crazy.
