arowana films presents the man from north korea

Check out the trailer for The Man From North Korea, a new web series written by Anson Ho and directed by Evan Jackson Leong of Arowana Films. It tells the story about a North Korean refugee who comes to Los Angeles:
This is a story about a North Korean refugee, JAE, who comes to Los Angeles to speak at a human rights conference about the situation in North Korea. His arrival has brought a lot of attention and although his journey is righteous there will be consequences to his delivery. This whole quest takes place in one nite in Los Angeles's ethnic enclave known as K-Town.
Take a look at the trailer. You'll definitely recognize a couple of folks like J-Splif from Far East Movement, Lanny Kim and Danny Cho:

These guys have previously done some funny takes on Kim Jong-Il's regime, but this is definitely a step in a completely different direction. Evan tells me he was compelled to produce something more serious about the human rights situation in North Korea.

The first episode drops on June 1. To see more, go to the Arowana Film website here and subscribe to their YouTube channel here.
