APIAHF is a national advocacy organization dedicated to promoting policy, program, and research efforts to improve the health and well-being of our community. And they're looking for a Community Capacity Program Manager. Read on for more details:
The Community Capacity Program Manager is a member of the Health Through Action resource team and in that capacity plays a major role in the smooth, effective, and efficient overall management of the program. The Program Manager has primary responsibility for management of the Community Partnerships Grant program and developing and implementing plans for capacity building for communities of color. This includes developing documentation related to capacity building tools (e.g. community collaboration, organizational development, policy advocacy, data, evaluation, and communications).

The Program Manager is responsible for the coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of all activities of the Community Partnerships Grant program. Working with the Program Director, the position also provides leadership for the Community Capacity Program, including strategic planning, program development, fund development, staff development, and evaluation.

Managers at this level take the lead on large and complex projects with minimal guidance except the outcome to be achieved and are invested in the successful outcomes of the organization as a whole. The Community Capacity Program Manager works with culturally diverse community coalitions and is able to ensure the highest level of service to community partners. This requires outstanding project management skills, critical thinking, and effective communication. The Program Manager is committed to the mission, vision, and values of the organization, and can effectively represent APIAHF. The successful candidate will be comfortable leading meetings and large projects, with the appropriate level of communication to all persons involved.
