jimmy wong will sing you a song

As the Asian American Journalists Association's National Convention gets underway this week, August 10-13 in Detroit, I just wanted to pass along some information about this fun opportunity to support AAJA by bidding on a very special silent auction item: a song by Jimmy Wong.

The one and only Jimmy Wong, who skyrocketed to internet notoriety with his clever musical takedown of former UCLA student Alexandra Wallace and her now-infamous "Asians in the Library" video rant, will sing the auction winner a song of his or her choice:
JIMMY WONG WILL SING YOU A SONG

Brought to wide attention after his video response to former UCLA student
Alexandra Wallace ("Ching Chong [It Means I Love You]"), Jimmy will let the
winner of this silent auction item choose a song of your choice for him to cover.

You will also be given access to his extensive song catalogue, including his versions of Beyonce's "Best Thing I Never Had,"N Sync's "Bye Bye Bye,"
Britney Spears's "Till the World Ends,"Vince Guaraldi's "Christmastime Is
Here,"an a cappella rendition of the Super Mario Bros. theme and Jimmy's own "Chinese Food."
Do you want some Jimmy Wong? To place a proxy bid, contact Doris Truong (aajadoris@yahoo.com) before 8:00pm, Friday, August 12. Proceeds from the silent auction will help AAJA to continue offering student and professional programs.
