file under badass: 80-year-old man fights off robber

This week in Sacramento, an 80-year-old retired Indian police officer successfully fought off a masked gunman who was attempting to rob his convenience store: Elderly Store Owner Fights Back Against 'KISS Robber.'

The so-called "KISS Robber," named for his evil clown mask, reportedly robbed two stores last week. But he'll need a new mask. Baldev -- may I remind you that he's 80 years old -- managed to pull it off when he fought off the suspect, grabbing his gun and chasing him away:
Surveillance video showed the encounter between 80-year-old Baldev Dhillon and the unidentified suspect unfold quickly inside Dhillon's business on the 4000 block of 12th Avenue, clearly showing the suspect aim a gun at Dhillon as he stepped into the store.

Dhillon's entire family, including two young grandchildren, was inside the store as the robbery took place.

"My legs were shivering," said 11-year-old Hirdayjot Dhillon.

As the robber closed in on the store owner, Baldev hardly flinched before grabbing for the gun and throwing the suspect off balance. The suspect backpedaled quickly as Dhillon pressed his counter-attack and then fled altogether as the store owner grabbed the clown mask by its long dreadlocks, yanking the mask off his head.

Family members said they heard the click of the trigger as the robber tried to shoot, but the gun never fired.
This could have gone so much worse. But old Badass Baldev doesn't sound like a guy who takes crap from some clown-masked robber, even if he has a gun. More here: Man In 70s Fights Off Armed Robber.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male driving a light blue sedan.
