Hello, internet friends. It is time, once again, to meet the Angry Reader of the Week, spotlighting you, the very special readers of this website. Over the years, I've been able to connect with a lot of cool folks, and this is a way of showing some appreciation and attention to the people who help make this blog what it is. This week's Angry Reader is Simu Liu.

Who are you?

I was a depressed business school graduate who suddenly found himself in love with film sets.

What are you?

I am impulsive, disorganized, neurotic, impatient and irrational, but occasionally brilliant.

Where are you?

I am on a flight from Los Angeles to Toronto. Although my home base has always been in Toronto, I'm quickly preparing myself for a permanent move down to Hollywood.

Where are you from?

I come from a family of immigrants who survived the brutal Cultural Revolution in China and found their way to Canada to start a new life. I was born in Harbin China, just a couple hundred miles south of Siberia, and was raised by my grandparents as my Mom and Dad studied in Canada. When I was five, I met my father for the first time; he came to take me to Canada, regaling me with stories of this country with boundless opportunity and wealth. I was just sad to leave my grandparents.

What do you do?

I act on a Canadian comedy series called Kim's Convenience, and an American action/drama series called Taken. I also write for television, do my own stunts, and advocate for adopting shelter animals. Although I've never won a political argument on Facebook, I'd like to think I'm pretty good at it.

What are you all about?

Creating your own luck. Refusing to play by a set of rules that were designed to make you average. Taking big risks and failing repeatedly. Eliminating ego. Being kind.

What makes you angry?

"I'm just not attracted to Asian guys..."
