'Glee' Star Harry Shum Jr. Joins 'Crazy Rich Asians'

Crazy Rich Asians follows Rachel, an American-born Chinese economics professor, who travels to Nick's hometown of Singapore for his best friend's wedding, only to discover that Nick is heir to a massive fortune, he's perhaps he most eligible bachelor in Asia, and every single woman in his ultra-rarefied social class is incredibly jealous of Rachel and wants to bring her down.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Shum will play Charlie Wu, the tech billionaire who still has feelings for his ex-girlfriend, "the Goddess" Astrid Teo, played by Gemma Chan.

You may know the Shum from Glee, Shadowhunters and, of course, his freaking ridiculous abs.

He joins an all-Asian ensemble alongside Constance Wu as Rachel, Henry Golding as Nick, Michelle Yeoh as Eleanor Young, Awkwafina as Goh Peik Lin, Sonoya Mizuno as Araminta Lee and Chris Pang as Colin Khoo. The cast also includes Ronny Chieng, Ken Jeong, Jimmy O. Yang, Jing Lusi, Pierre Png and Fiona Xie.

Directed by Jon M. Chu, from a screenplay by Peter Chiarelli and Adele Lim, the film has started shooting on location in Singapore and Malaysia. Kwan is serving as executive producer.
