Kelly Marie Tran surprises fans discussing 'Star Wars' at the next table

'The Last Jedi' star was eavesdropping on their review.

At long last, Star Wars: The Last Jedi has hit theaters, and those of us who were hyped for our girl Kelly Marie Tran as Rose finally got to see her get her Resistance on and join the fight in a galaxy far, far away.

So what's the verdict on The Last Jedi? What are people saying? Sure, you can go read some critics' reviews, log on to some message boards or jump in on a discussion thread on your Facebook wall. Or you can listen in on people talking about it at the next table. That's what Kelly Marie Tran did.

A few days ago, while in Europe to promote The Last Jedi, Kelly was eating at a pub with a friend when a group of friends came in, at down at the next table and started discussing The Last Jedi in great detail. Naturally, Kelly started eavesdropping, and her friend recorded her reaction as they discussed Rose.

Kelly's reaction is adorably priceless, as one of the diners says, "I looooooooove Rose."

"After lots of creepy listening," as Kelly puts it, she walked over to the table to introduce herself and fess up that she'd been listening in on their review. Of the movie that she stars in. It's safe to assume they freaked out.

"So," Cat Mahoney, one of the woman at the table, shared on Instagram. "We're sitting in the pub post Star Wars, discussing the film in minute detail as we are wont to do ... AND THE WOMAN FROM THE NEXT TABLE TURNS TO US AND SAYS "OH HI, I'M ROSE FROM THE FILM AND I'VE LOVED LISTENING TO YOUR CONVERSATION FOR THE LAST HOUR." THIS LITERALLY JUST HAPPENED."

If these folks weren't fans after watching The Last Jedi, they're probably fans now. Or as Cat puts it, "Kelly Marie Tran is officially the loveliest person in this (and any other) Galaxy."

Kelly says this was just one of a string of incredible moments she's been experiencing lately. In the end, it's about creating something and connecting with other people.

"In my 8 years as a struggling actor, I came to the realization that the hardest thing to obtain from another human being is their genuine interest," Kelly shared in her Instagram post. "Sometimes, getting someone to listen to your story -- your idea -- is really hard. It's pretty impossible for a movie to get made, and there are many stories that don't make it into a book or a film or a television show. I know how lucky I am to be a part of something that people love, to be able to act and tell stories at all."

Kelly also admits that that one of sneaky joys has been eavesdropping on conversations about The Last Jedi while she's been out and about. So watch out, people! Kelly Marie Tran is listening!
