Angry Reader of the Week: Yvonne Hana Yi

"But at Starbucks, I'm Evan."

Hello, internet friends. Gather 'round, because it is time, once again, to meet the Angry Reader of the Week, spotlighting you, the very special readers of this website. Over the years, I've been able to connect with a lot of cool folks, and this is a way of showing some appreciation and attention to the people who help make this blog what it is. This week's Angry Reader is Yvonne Hana Yi.

Who are you?

I'm Yvonne! But at Starbucks, I'm Evan.

What are you?

I'm just a girl standing in front of a blog asking it to love her.

Also a writer, reader, lover of all things Jim Henson, big fan of crime shows, and an ordinary human being trying to be a good friend.

Where are you?

I'm in my apartment with the dog I live with.

Where are you from?

Grew up in the Bay Area, then spent a number of years in New York for college, late-night eating, piƱata making, set life grinding, desk job hopping, secret writing, and never knowing where the party is.

What do you do?

I'm in LA completing an MFA in Screenwriting at UCLA. Currently working as a writer's assistant for Netflix. I write a lot of scripts that may never see the light of day.

What are you all about?

Working hard, being kind (thanks, Conan), therapy, and never saving outfits for special occasions.

What makes you angry?

The wage gap. People who make fun of accents. Racism disguised as nostalgia. The belief that immigrants are stealing your jobs. Phone trees. When you layer and your sleeves inside get bunched up.
