Angry Reader of the Week: Victoria Park

"Hugger of people and trees."

Hello, good people of the internet! It is time, once again, to meet the Angry Reader of the Week, spotlighting you, the very special readers of this website. Over the years, I've been able to connect with a lot of cool folks, and this is a way of showing some appreciation and attention to the people who help make this blog what it is. This week's Angry Reader is Victoria Park.

Who are you?

Hey! My name is Victoria Park, I'm 5'3"... oh is this not an audition? My bad. Just Victoria Park, then. Hey.

What are you?

Human being, just like you. Korean-American and proud. Hugger of people and trees. Jesus follower. Cat mama. Total weirdo. Always thinking about food.

Where are you?

Los Angeles, California. Still wild to be able to call this place home.

Where are you from?

The great (best) city of Chicago! My parents both immigrated to Illinois from South Korea as kids -- my mom to the city, and my dad to the country. They met at University of Illinois, and I was born and raised in Urbana until we moved to the Chicago suburbs when I was 7. Growing up in the Midwest, I didn't grow up with a lot of people who looked like me. I actually grew up thinking I was white until probably high school. Going to Northwestern, then moving to LA was a huge culture shock for me finally being around more Asian-Americans. It really woke me up to the fact that hey, I'm Korean American. And that's really rad.

What do you do?

I'm an actress, mostly in TV and Film, but I went to school for Film Production and have a passion for storytelling as a whole. To make people feel seen and known... to make people feel in general -- that's the goal. And always to make people laugh. Laughter is absolutely the best medicine, in my humble opinion. (Doctor-friends don't come at me.) I also don't know how far I'd go to say I'm an Activist, but I'm 100% in favor of doing my part to create and influence social, political, and environmental change.

What are you all about?

Good stories. Good food. Good music. Good friends. I'm all about the good, and I genuinely believe it can be found in anything... and anyone.

What makes you angry?

Injustice. Corruption. Ignorance. Lack of empathy. Greed. Selfishness.... and the fact that any of these can exist in my own heart. But what is it our boy Michael said? "If you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself, and make that *drum drum* *key change* CHANGE!"
