Portland-based Asian American dance-rock band The Slants are currently battling it out for supreme awesomeness in the Bodog Music Battle of the Bands. Having conquered the third round, sweeping the Northwest semi-regional finals, the band moves on to round four for an opportunity to win a million dollar recording contract. If you haven't heard their music, you should give it a try here. They've got a unique, powerful sound that recalls some serious old school synthpop. It's pretty wicked.
