LAPD's Highest-Ranking Asian American Officer is Promoted to Deputy Chief. The promotion ceremony ws attended by community leaders, friends, family and colleagues, including Chief William J. Bratton, Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa, and actress Tamlyn Tomita(!), whose father was apparently a former LAPD sergeant.
