My friends at APA for Progress inform me that they've just launched a really cool new opportunity for folks interested in getting involved in politics: the Glen S. Fukushima Campaign Fellowship. The selected fellow will be placed with Dr. Judy Chu's campaign for California's 32nd Congressional District.
The campaign fellowship is made possible through a donation by Glen. S. Fukushima, a former Deputy Assistant United States Trade Representative for Japan and China at the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR), Executive Office of the President.
They're now accepting applications, but you have to act fast -- the deadline for this year's application is Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 11:00pm PST.
