This is heartbreaking news... In Mission Viejo, California, a young girl was accidentally killed after climbing into a washing machine that turned on when her toddler brother hit the start button: 4-Year-Old Killed After Climbing in Washing Machine.
4-year-old Kayley Ishii was apparently playing around and climbed into the front-loading washer. Her 15-month-old brother then either bumped or pushed the button, which was only about twenty inches from the floor, to start the machine.
She was in the water-filled tumbling machine for at least two minutes before her mother found her. An autopsy revealed that Kaley died of blunt force trauma. How the hell could this have happened? I can't imagine what her parents must be going through. My heart goes out to her family.
