steven chu predicts the future... and it doesn't look good

He speaks the truth! According to Secretary of Energy Steven Chu, if Americans don't get off their asses to slow the advance of global warming, California's farms and vineyards could vanish by the end of the century, and its major cities could be jeopardy: California farms, vineyards in peril from warming, U.S. energy secretary warns.

In his first interview since taking office last month, Chu warned of water shortages plaguing the West and Upper Midwest and particularly dire consequences for California, the nation's leading agricultural producer. In a worst case, Chu speculates that up to 90% of the Sierry snowpack could disappear, all but eliminating a natural storage system for water vital to agriculture.

Let me just say that I love California. It's awesome. The greatest state in entire union, in my opinion. And if the effects of global warming eliminates the state's farms and vineyards by the end of the century, I am going to be very angry. Listen to Steven Chu. The man knows what the hell he's talking about.
