This is pretty cool... While I'm not much of a fan of the Danity Kane track "Damaged," it is worth noting that hit song was produced by the Stereotypes, aka Jeremy Reeves, Ray Romulus and Jon Yip. The song definitely put them on the map, and now, the production team has two Grammy nominations for their work with R&B artist Ne-Yo's Year of the Gentleman -- best contemporary R&B album and album of the year.
Here's an article from The Sacramento Bee profiling these hometown boys: Grammy-nominated: Amazing year could get even sweeter for music producers with Sacramento roots. Their resume includes work with Mary J. Blige, Natasha Bedingfield and Marques Houston, with more work on the way.
Most notably to me, the Stereotypes collaborated with our boys in Far East Movement to produce "Girls On the Dance Floor" from their album Animal. It's pretty much the most kickass thing I'm listening to right now. Hot ass track. Listen to it over on the FM website here.
