The aim of the event is to increase the number of donors in the National Bone Marrow Registry to find a match for patients like Stacy Walker, who I've mentioned here before. Stacy, who is of mixed Asian heritage, was recently diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia and urgently needs a marrow match who is most likely someone of her ethnic background.

A3M will use the proceeds of the event to assist minority patients with marrow donor searches and tissue typing expenses for new marrow donors. Come out, have fun, and register. You could be the one that saves Stacy's life. For more information about the event, including ticket details, go here.
