Game 2 is happening right now as a I write this, but I just wanted to note that in last night's National League Championship Series opener, Phillies reliever Chan Ho Park pitched a crucial shoutout inning to help to Philadelphia beat the Dodgers, 8-6: Dodgers fail to score against Phillies' Chan Ho Park.
With the Phillies leading 5-4, the Dodgers' Andre Ethier doubled to lead off the seventh inning. In came Park, who then retired Manny Ramirez, Matt Kemp and Casey Blake to preserve the lead and keep the momentum from shifting back to the Dodgers.
I am a lifelong fan of the San Francisco Giants. That said, I am currently cheering on the side of anyone who plays the Dodgers. In this case, go Chan Ho Park, and go Phillies. Yeah, I said it, L.A. fans. Go eat a Dodger dog... as I silently cry over another weak season for the Giants.
UPDATE: Game 2, however, not so great for Chan Ho Park.
