"Down," reached number 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. He finally booted off the Black Eyed Peas, who have been holding the top spot for 26 weeks.
In just fourteen weeks, the British pop-R&B singer/songwriter has climbed to the top of the charts, making him the first solo South Asian male artist to claim this honor, according to this article:

Next up, his American album debut from Cash Money,
