I don't know what to make of this crazy photo essay in the
Chicago Tribune, which apparently captured a handful of concerned citizens apprehending an alleged thief at 19th and Wentworth in Chicago:
Bystanders capture and hold alleged thief. This guy allegedly ran away with a woman's purse, and these other guys caught him... but not without a serious struggle before the cops came.
The accompanying audio track features the photographer explaining what's going on in the photos, because honestly, without the narration, you could have told me a multiethnic/multigenerational gang decided to attack a shirtless guy, and I might have believed you. That's just Chinatown justice, I guess.
