I know a lot of you out there are big fans of Korean dramas, so I thought I'd pass along this fun little video contest our friends at KoreAm Journal are putting on: The KoreAm Drama Fo' Yo Mama Contest. Your mission: To create your own K-drama scene.
To celebrate the launch of iamKoreAm.com, Verizon Wireless and Asiana Airlines are sponsoring a video contest starring you! They want it all -- mobsters, catfights, mistaken identities, fatal illnesses, uncontrollable sobbing. The more outrageous, the better.
So it's up to you to write a script, cast your friends, and put together the best damn crying-inducing Korean drama scene you can dream up (no longer than three minutes). But you have to get it together fast -- submissions are due November 8, when they'll post the top ten videos, and ask readers to vote for their favorite.
Three finalists will win two tickets to KoreAm's exclusive celebrity-studded gala "Unforgettable" in Los Angeles, where their videos will be screened. Attendees will vote for their favorite scene via text messaging. The winner will take home one round-trip ticket to Korea from Asiana Airlines and a Verizon Wireless phone.
Fun, right? For the full rules, guidelines and information on how to enter your super awesome Korean drama video entry, visit the KoreAm website here. There are a lot of K-drama-obsessed folks out there. The time has come to put your crazy drama obsession to good use.
