Kundiman, an organization dedicated to promoting the artistic and professional development of Asian American poets, in partnership with Alice James Books, recently launched the Kundiman Poetry Prize for Asian American poets, which includes a cash prize of $2,000, publication of the winning manuscript and sponsorship of a reading.
This is a pretty awesome opportunity for my poetry people out there. The prize is open to emerging and established Asian American poets. Entrants must reside in the United States. Submissions are currently being accepted through January 15, 2010. For more information, including submission guidelines, go to the Kundiman website here.
