Got some 5-7-5 poetry in you? Are you bursting with Asian American pride? In celebration of APA Heritage Month, Asia Society is holding a APA Heritage Month Haiku Contest. All you have to do is tell them why being Asian American rocks... in the form of a haiku. Here are some details:

We know being Asian American rocks! As we celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, tell us the best things about being Asian American—in the form of a haiku!

This whole month of May, we’ll be looking for your best, your funniest, your most touching haikus. Post your masterpiece in the comments section below. You can also tweet your haiku to our @AsiaSociety Twitter or post it on our Facebook wall.

Need a refresher? The haiku form is a 5-syllable line, followed by a 7-syllable line, followed by a 5-syllable line.

Easy enough, right? They'll pick their favorite composition at the end of the month, May 31, and they'll send the winning poet a prize pack of awesome things. For more information, and to submit your haiku, go to the Asia Society website here.
