white on rice now available on vod

The indie comedy White on Rice, directed by David Boyle and starring Hiroshi Watanabe and Lynn Chen, is now available for viewing on Pay Per View and Video on Demand. Missed it in theaters? Haven't picked up the DVD? You can now have White on Rice beamed straight to your TV. Some details:
For those of you who haven't yet had a chance to see White on Rice, now it will be available everywhere! New to the brave new world of VOD? Here's a brief Q and A that will hopefully clear things up. Feel free to write back with any questions you might have:

Uh...What is VOD? It stands for "Video On Demand," and is basically a fancy word for "Pay Per View." Most Cable providers allow you to watch movies for a small fee (usually between $3.99-$7.99 depending on your service). For instructions on how to find the VOD function on your cable box, contact your local cable provider.

Which Cable Companies in my area are going to carry White on Rice? Unfortunately, I don't know the breakdown for every single market...but we do have a head's up on a handful of larger cities (see below). However, if your cable is provided by any of the companies in the list above (including Comcast, Time Warner or Direct TV), you should be able to find White on Rice among their offerings starting June 1st! We'll have a comprehensive listing of where to find White on Rice about one week before the launch date. For now, here's the availability for the top 6 US markets:

NYC-Time Warner Cable, Cablevision, Verizon
LA- Time Warner Cable, Charter, Verizon
Chicago- Comcast
Boston- Comcast
San Francisco- Comcast
Philadelphia-Comcast, Verizon

But I live in a small town--will my Cable provider be showing White on Rice? We certainly hope so! With the film debuting in more than 50 million homes, your chances are very good! Even if your cable provider has not programmed White on Rice, you can still download it from iTunes or Amazon VOD to view on your home computer on the same day!

How about on Netflix Streaming? Can I watch it there? The movie will be available for streaming on Netflix sometime later this year, but it will be after the VOD start date. We'll keep you posted!
Grab your remote and start pressing some buttons -- a quirky comedy adventure awaits. The movie is also available for download on iTunes and Amazon VOD. For more information, go to the White on Rice website here.
