aadap presents showtime 2010: "changing lives and saving families"


If you're in Los Angeles, and want to support a great cause, here's a cool event to check out this weekend.. The Asian American Drug Abuse Program (AADAP) is putting on it's annual benefit concert, which includes performances by Tim Be Told and comedian Paul Varghese. It's happening this Saturday, August 28 at the Aratani Japan America Theatre in Little Tokyo. Here are some more details:

AADAP invites you to join the fight against substance abuse by coming out to "Showtime 2010~ Celebrating 38 Years of Changing Lives and Saving Families" - a benefit concert featuring up-and-coming artists Tim Be Told and Paul Varghese, and also presenting performances by AADAP's own youth. Join us for a night of music and laughter, and help raise funds to support AADAP's core programs: youth education and advocacy, prevention, intervention, and treatment for adults and adolescents, and economic development for at-risk youth and veterans. AADAP provides substance abuse treatment services to APIs and other diverse communities. Proceeds from the concert will go towards supporting AADAP's core programs which include education, prevention, intervention, treatment, advocacy, employment and job development.
