angry reader of the week: lynn chen
Hey! It's time to meet another Angry Reader of the Week, spotlighting you, the very special readers of this website. Over the years, I've been able to connect with a lot of cool folks, and this is a way of showing some appreciation and attention to the people who help make this blog what it is. This week's Angry Reader is our pal Lynn Chen.
Who are you?
Lynn Chen
What are you?
Chinese-American. Oh wait, you probably didn't mean that the same way random strangers do?!?
Where are you?
At a library without wifi, which is why I'm answering these questions instead of procrastinating on Twitter.
Where are you from?
Los Angeles. Before that, NYC. Before that, NJ. Before that (like before I existed) Taiwan.
What do you do?
I act. When I'm not working on my career I'm blogging about food.
What are you all about?
FOOD!!! I've spent my entire life struggling with it and we are finally at peace. I'm constantly looking for places to try, recipes to make, learning, drooling, consuming….I'll eat ravioli out of a can or a raw pudding made of avocado and carob. In the same meal, preferably. My relationship with food has taught me a lot about balance in life.
What makes you angry?
When people equate "skinny" with good, "fat" with bad. Strong, smart, independent women who are afraid to call themselves "feminist." When I ask my dog to "sit" or "come" more than four times in a row and he looks at me like I'm crazy.
Apparently, words piss me off.
