matcha: contemporary chinese art, april 21

For my friends in San Francisco who like to mix their nightlife with a little bit of art, it's time again for the latest edition of MATCHA, the Asian Art Museum's after-hours art/music/mixer series. This month's event is a spotlight on contemporary Chinese art. It's happening Thursday, April 21 at the Asian Art Museum. And you can win some free passes! See below for more details:
MATCHA: Contemporary Chinese Art
Thursday, April 21, 5-9pm
Asian Art Museum
$10 (includes entry to Bali)

For ONLY three days (April 19-21) and ONLY at the Asian Art Museum, see Pure Views, a special installation of brand new artworks by some of China's most world-renowned and emerging artists. At MATCHA, on April 21, four of the featured artists, along with critic Liu Chun and curator Lu Peng—will gather in a lively panel discussion about art in China today. This will be the last chance to see Pure Views before the paintings are de-installed and shipped back to China. You can also see Bali, stroll the galleries, go on a docent tour, make your own art, and mingle over cocktails and music by DJ Velvet Einstein. So bring your friends and spend the night with us. Show your support and share with friends on Facebook.
Want to win free tickets to MATCHA? The Asian Art Museum is giving away pair of passes to one lucky, randomly drawn winner. All you have to do is email asianartmuseumsf@gmail.com by Monday morning (April 18), with the subject line "I wanna see contemporary Chinese art at MATCHA." You'll be contacted if you win.
