angry reader of the week: momo chang

What's up, fancy people? I would like you to meet the Angry Reader of the Week, spotlighting you, the very special readers of this website. Over the years, I've been able to connect with a lot of cool folks, and this is a way of showing some appreciation and attention to the people who help make this blog what it is. This week's Angry Reader is Momo Chang.

Who are you?
Someone who appreciates and values life in all its struggles and (immense) joy.

What are you?
A mom of two exuberant kids who's trying raise 'em healthy in a world that makes little sense. (As a homemaker, I also play the role of chef, housekeeper, poopy-diaper-changer, nutritionist, driver, mediator, meditator...). I am also a journalist.

Where are you?
Currently in Oakland, CA.

Where are you from?
I was born in Taiwan and have lived in South Carolina, LA county and now the East Bay.

What do you do?
I write and tell stories. It's a huge privilege. I also work on Hyphen as an editor, blogger and other such fun things.

What are you all about?
I try to live by love, not fear. More recently, I've been into meditating and taking vacations.

What makes you angry?
Glad you asked! I've very much been in touch with my anger these days. I'm just way more cranky and irritable 'cause I'm not getting good sleep (bless my dear daughter!). When I am back to my normal self, I expect that I will mostly be angry at ignorance, hate of any kind, repression, racism, sexism, war. I'm also angry that our country doesn't have paid maternal/parental leave. I think some countries have up to 3 years of (partially) paid parental leave! Families need support. It's really for the sake and well-being of our kids -- and our country.
