casting call: asian extras for lone ranger

After many delays and budget disputes, Disney is about to get production going for the latest big screen take on the masked Western adventure hero Lone Ranger, starring Johnny Depp and directed by Gore Verbinski.

Want to be in the movie? Shooting starts next month in New Mexico, and the studio has put the call out for Asian extras to play late-1800s emigrant Chinese railroad workers. For your information: Lone Ranger Seeks Asian Extras.
The extras casting director for Lone Ranger is seeking the following types:

Asians to play emigrant railroad workers in the late 1800s old west.

Take from that what you will. I can't imagine they need Asians to be much more than set dressing for the era. Who knows? But there doesn't appear to be any Asian actors in the principal cast. If anybody out there gets on set, let me know what's up! (Thanks, Nic.)
