angry reader of the week: ryan suda

Hey folks. Time to meet another Angry Reader of the Week, spotlighting you, the very special readers of this website. Over the years, I've been able to connect with a lot of cool folks, and this is a way of showing some appreciation and attention to the people who help make this blog what it is. This week's Angry Reader is Ryan Suda of Blacklava.

Who are you?

I respond to:

Ryan
Ryan Suda
Suda
Ry
Rydog
Rydigs
Ryno
Blacklava
Lava
Baklava (this will catch my attention but I will not respond)
And when I was a kid, Little Man.

What are you?
This question reminds me of my Asian American 301 Cultural Expression class. The assignment was to create a piece of art that represents my culture. The night before it was due, I dialed into my Earthlink modem, downloaded a jpeg image of the earth, centered that image on my Word Perfect document, surrounded it with as many words as I could think of (names of friends, music groups, places, food... anything), printed it and presented it to the class the next day. I was never very good at school.

Where are you?
30% at home in Gardena, CA. 60% at my warehouse in Torrance. 10%… traffic.

Where are you from?
Chuck Norris went to my High School.

What do you do?
Blacklava.net - A store for all things Asian American. We have an online store with products with an Asian American political, cultural, social theme. We also sell other products by Angry Asian Man, Secret Asian Man, 8 Asians, Korematsu Institute, and much more! If anyone needs custom shirts (shameless plug), please let me know!

I guess I should also mention that this year is Blacklava's 20th Anniversary. During the month of Sept 2012 there will be a month long gallery display in downtown Los Angeles. We'll be displaying all the Blacklava shirts from the beginning, when we were a surf company, until present day. Everyone is invited!

What are you all about?
I'm all about helping people with whatever they want to do in life. This could be help in the form of moving their stuff from one place to another, setting up their business/organization/quickbooks, offering a little motivation/inspiration, or just by listening.

What makes you angry?
Right now... anything pink.

I also get angry with people who sidestep questions in order to avoid admitting that they made a mistake or to avoid having to tell the truth.
