Our everyday lives are subtlety influenced and profoundly impacted by public policies on taxes, spending and regulation. National policies define who we are as a people through immigration and census categories, basic rights and protections for minorities, inclusion and representations in the media and cultural institutions, health coverage and the safety net for the economically disadvantaged, physical and social infrastructure for neighborhoods and communities, etc. Over the last two decades, APAs have made remarkable progress in establishing a voice in the national policy arena to advocate for APA concerns and priorities. Unfortunately, there is a major vacuum. APAs do not have an established think thank. The one-day conference brings together stakeholders from the nonprofit sector, government and higher education to explore ways to promote collaborative applied research on issues affecting APAs.

Session for Students and Youth: 10:30 am-12 pm
Space is limited, so register at the conference website here.
