fund this: I hate you

I've been meaning to write about this for a while... I Hate You is an indie feature "unromantic comedy" by writer/director Brad Kageno and co-writer Pyung Kim, who are trying to raise their budget through Kickstarter. With just over two days left in the campaign, they're pretty darn close to the fundraising goal. With your help, they can make this thing happen. But first, watch the fundraising trailer:

Here's what it's about:
Chi and Kelly come from two completely different walks of life. Chi doesn't have much experience when it comes to relationships...in fact, he doesn't have any. He still lives with mom. He's the type of guy who'd much rather admire a girl from afar than actually ask her out. Kelly, on the other hand, has been through the relationship gauntlet enough times to know that in practice, romance isn't always romantic. Her cynicism isn't helped by the fact that she still lives with her douche of an ex-boyfriend. Despite Chi and Kelly's obvious differences, when they meet, there's an immediate attraction. They leave their respective comfort zones and begin dating, but it's not long before their opposing philosophies on love begin to cause friction.

Join us as we follow these characters through the tumultuous, life-changing journey known as the long-term relationship - through all its ups and downs, all the tender moments and the fights, all the I love yous and I hate yous.
The film will star Lawrence Kao and Lauren K. Montgomery as the two lovers. If you want to see more, and/or you want to help a passionate group of filmmakers finally get their vision on the screen, make a pledge here. And for further information, go to the I Hate You website here.
