Geek rapper
Adam WarRock just dropped his latest record, the
Neo-Tokyo EP, a seven-track album inspired by the seminal anime film
Akira. You might be familiar with his hip hop odes to comic books and TV shows, but this is his first foray into animte-related subjects. And it's pretty damn hot. Here's the video for the first single,
"...Is About To Explode":
It's been a while since I sat down and watched
Akira in its entirety. Listening to this album definitely makes me want to revisit the movie.
Featuring the electro-hop production style of DicepticoN, and featuring vocals by Chris Haley, the album is $5 and is available in digital download format directly from Adam WarRock's website
here. Check it out, nerds.
