The "godfather" of Asian American media is
retiring. Earlier this year, it was announced that Professor Robert Nakamura is hanging up his hat, after a 33-year career teaching Asian American studies and film/television at UCLA. As a groundbreaking filmmaker and an influential mentor, his contributions to the field Asian American media are immeasurable.
Professor Nakamura's son, Tad Nakamura -- a gifted filmmaker in his own right -- recently cut together a
tribute reel for his father's retirement reception earlier this month. It's a really nice retrospective celebration of his work. Take a look:
