brian tee and will yun lee cast as wolverine villains

We know that the next Wolverine movie, starring Hugh Jackman, is set in Japan. Fans of the comic books know that this is inspired by a fairly significant Wolverine storyline, where Logan falls in love with the wrong Japanese woman and a lot of people subsequently want to kill him.

Two of those people will be played by Brian Tee and Will Yun Lee, who have been cast as villains Noburo Mori and Harada, aka The Silver Samurai, respectively: 'Wolverine' Sequel Casts Two Villains.
The story borrows heavily from the Chris Claremont-Frank Miller Wolverine comic book miniseries that premiered in the 1980s.

Tee is playing Noburo Mori, a corrupt minister of justice who is about to marry the daughter of a yakuza crime lord (the daughter is Wolverine’s love interest).

Lee will play Harada, more commonly known as The Silver Samurai. He possesses an electrified suit of samurai armor and is the illegitimate son of the crime lord.
I like both of these actors... but as I've said before, red flags all around. Expect to see Hugh Jackman killing a lot of Asian dudes. And is it me, or is Brian Tee essentially playing a variation on the Japanese bad guy he played in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift? Except without, you know, the Tokyo drift.

Japanese actors Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto and Rila Fukushima were also recently added to the cast. The film is set to start production next month in Japan. More here: 'The Wolverine' Announces Casting for Shingen, Yashida, Mariko, and Yukio.
