Hibakusha, directed by Choz Belen and Steve Nguyen, is an animated drama that tells the story of Kaz Suyeishi, an 84-year-old woman who recalls her most vivid and horrific experiences as a teenager when an atomic bomb was dropped on her hometown of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. The imagery alone is pretty stunning. I'm looking forward to checking it out. The film, which stars Karin Anna Cheung, Priscilla Gee, Connie Lim, Daisuke Suzuki, Jane Lui, Paul Dateh and more, is set for release later this year.
