the road to justice for danny chen

Next week, Sgt. Adam Holcomb will be the first of the eight superiors charged in connection with the death of Private Danny Chen to face court martial in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Danny Chen's family and supporters are making the ten-hour road trip from New York to North Carolina to attend proceedings.

If you're in New York, and would like to lend your support to Danny Chen's family, you're invited to attend the press conference they'll be holding before they pack up the van and hit the road for Fort Bragg.

They'll be gathering on Monday morning, July 23, 9:30am at Columbus Park in Chinatown. Here are some more details:

WHERE: Columbus Park, Chinatown, Manhattan

WHY: Sgt. Adam Holcomb will be the first of the 8 superiors charged in connection with the death of Private Danny Chen to face court martial on Tuesday, July 24th in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Danny Chen’s family and supporters will travel ten hours by van or by plane from New York City to North Carolina to attend the court martial. The van will leave promptly at 10:00 a.m. following the press conference.

Sgt. Holcomb is one of the five superiors charged with negligent homicide. In addition, charges against Sgt. Holcomb include reckless endangerment, communicating a threat, assault, maltreatment of a subordinate, dereliction of duty, and multiple counts of violating a lawful general order. This court martial is expected to begin on July 24th and end on July 27th.
