ken leung and jeananne goossen cast in after hours pilot

I got a big kick out of seeing Ken Leung on the CBS drama Person of Interest last night, reprising his guest star role as forensic accountant Leon Tai.

I was hoping the show was setting him to be a recurring character, but then I realized that Ken was recently cast in the pilot for a new NBC medical drama After Hours: Ken Leung To Co-Star In NBC Drama 'After Hours' And Other Pilot Castings.

According to Deadline.com, Ken Leung and Jeananne Goossen will play doctors working the graveyard shift in the ER at San Antonio Medical Center:

Lost alum Ken Leung and Jeananne Goossen (Alcatraz) are set to co-star opposite Eoin Macken and Freddy Rodriguez in the hourlong NBC pilot After Hours. The Sony TV project revolves around the graveyard shift in the ER at San Antonio Medical Center. Leung (Rush Hour) will play Topher, a flip-flops and shorts-wearing Emergency Room doctor who was previously a surgeon on the battlefield, where he became hardened and jaded. Goossen, repped by Greene & Associates and Magnolia Entertainment, will play a beautiful and stylish resident at the hospital.
Yes. Asians in a medical drama! As I've said many times before, Ken Leung is one of my favorite actors -- one of those guys I'm happy to see acting in pretty much anything. Here's hoping After Hours puts him to good use. (But I'm still crossing my fingers to eventually see him starring in the adaptation of Chew.)
