I recently heard from filmmaker Andrew Oh, who recently completed a short film,
Mandevilla, for the Korean American Family Service Center, Office on Violence Against Women, and the Department of Justice, on the subject of domestic violence in the Korean American community. Take a look:
The film was written by Sun W. Kim and stars Jun Kim, Arden Cho and Lance Lim.
I've been a big fan of Andrew's past work, and I appreciate how this film attempts to tackle a serious issue in a dramatic, artful way. Hopefully, it's a conversation starter and will encourage you and or someone you know in a domestic violence situation to get help. For further information and resources, visit the KAFSC
