Job Opportunity: Public Programs Assistant, Japanese American National Museum

The Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles is the largest museum in the United States dedicated to sharing the experience of Americans on Japanese ancestry. It's an amazing facility and a valuable resource to Asian Americans and the greater Los Angeles community.

The Museum is currently seeking to fill a full-time Public Programs Assistant position who will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, and managing National Museum public programs. Here are some more details about the job:

The Public Programs Assistant is responsible for coordinating and implementing, and managing National Museum public programs, including (but not limited to) lectures, book signings, film screenings, panel discussions, performances, workshops, and youth/family programs. Serves as point staff person for Target Free Family Days on select 2nd Saturday of the month, Annual Summer Festival at the National Museum in August and Oshogatsu Family Day. Position is full-time for 40 hours per week with flexible scheduling Tuesday - Sunday and requires weekend/evening hours to achieve successful programs execution. Works under the supervision of the Program Manager.
