Asian Americans are the fastest growing community of color with the lowest voter turnout. That sucks.



All right, folks. Today's the day. Time to get your vote on. According to AAPIData and the Center for American Progress, the number of Asian American voters in the last decade has nearly doubled from more than 2 million voters in 2000 to 3.9 million voters in 2012. Let's make sure our community's voice is heard loud and clear.

We are the fastest growing community of color in the United States with the lowest voter turnout. What's up with that? That statistic sucks. Here are a couple of simple resources to help you get off your ass and vote:


Get To The Polls
Where do you go to vote? It's really easy. Just enter your address to find your poll and get directions. This site also provides information on candidates in your jurisdiction.

Your Fucking Polling Place

Voting In Your State
Nonprofit VOTE has partnered with the National Association of Secretaries of State to create this 50 state voter information tool. Click on your state to get official information on checking your registration, early and mail voting, voter ID, finding your polling place, voting for ex-offenders and more.

18 Million Rising has created a tool to report voting rights violations -- including everything from voter intimidation, racial and ethnic segregation at the polls, demands for proof of citizenship, and inadequate language translation. If you've witnessed or heard about any kind of voter suppression or intimidation, let them know.

National Hotlines
These nonpartisan national telephone hotlines will be live and available on Election Day to help people vote. Voters can also report problems and get legal assistance.
