Feature film set for release in 2015
The Ktown Cowboys are back! The folks behind the wildly popular comedy webseries have been hard at work on a feature film, set again in the unique subculture of Los Angeles' Koreatown.
Directed by Daniel "DPD" Park and written by Danny Cho and Brian Chung, the bromantic comedy centers on a group of "ball-busting, hard-partying friends who are all struggling with their evolution into adulthood in their own unique but interconnected ways." They just dropped the first teaser trailer for the film.

It wouldn't be night in Koreatown if some dude didn't take off his shirt. Ktown Cowboys brings back the cast of the original webseries, including Danny Cho, Sunn Wee, Peter Jae, Bobby Choy, and Shane Yoon. It also promises cameo appearances from the likes of Ken Jeong, Daniel Dae Kim, Steve Byrne and Simon Rhee.
In anticipation of the film's release, they're also releasing a series of digital shorts called Ktown Cowboys Footnotes, outlining some of funnier realities of life in Ktown. The series reintroduces the fan-favorite castmembers of Ktown Cowboys, as well as new characters, and adds more storytelling depth beyond the film's plot. Danny describes the shorts as "reverse easter eggs."
"What's cool about Footnoes is that each episode is a stand alone comedy short. It's funny on its own. You don't need to watch the movie to understand Footnotes, and you don't need to watch Footnotes to get the movie. But, when people do see the movie, Footnotes will add a richer understanding of the characters."
Ktown Cowboys will be released sometime in 2015. The Ktown Cowboys Footnotes digital shorts will launch starting next Wednesday. For further information about Ktown Cowboys, visit the movie's official website and follow updates on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
