16-year-old Mira Hu was dropped off at Arcadia High School on Saturday morning to take the college entrance exam, but wasn't there when her parents came to pick her up. A short time later, she reportedly sent a message to her brother indicating that she was running away.

According to Mira's family:

Our daughter, Mira Hu, has been missing since Saturday, June 6, 2015.

Mira was dropped off at about 7:30 a.m. at Arcadia High School to take the SAT. We went to pick her up at 12:30 p.m. and waited for her to finish taking her test. At 1:20 p.m., she sent a message to our son indicating that she was stressed about some issues in her life.

Police believe that she may be traveling to central or northern California.

Hu is described as 5-foot-3, weighing about 95 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a black jacket and black jeans and was carrying a large navy-blue backpack.
