Want to see some 'Pretty Dudes'?

Comedy webseries explores masculinity, race, colorism, sexuality, friendships and the rules of attraction.

Pretty Dudes is an upcoming original comedy series that explores the dynamics between a millennial multiethnic group of friends in Los Angeles. Created by Chance Calloway, the series uses humor and truth to explore masculinity, race, colorism, sexuality, friendships, and the ever-changing rules of attraction.

The 12-episode series is currently raising production funds through Seed & Spark.

The project centers on six friends who consider themselves to be "pretty" and claim that the label has ruined their romantic lives. As one of them goes through a breakup, the friends band together -- through a high stakes bet -- to find him the perfect love, discovering the truth about their own relationship struggles in the process.

Here's some more information about the project:

Pretty Dudes stars Bryan Michael Nuñez, Yoshi Sudarso, Xaiver Avila, Kyle Rezzarday, Tae Song and Olivia Thai, along with Beau Sia, Dickie Hearts, Amanda Suk, Cesar Cipriano and Stanley Wong.

Calloway says Pretty Dudes started from a story he shared with friends over laughs and drinks, and grew into a project with the potential to convey truth, healing and humor -- with a diverse cast to boot.

"I'm a firm believer in not only diversity and representation in media, but also quality entertainment across all platforms," Calloway shares. "In a world with an increasing lack of empathy and growing gaps between cultures, sexualities and genders, it's important for these marginalized questions, stories and lives to be explored on screen in the way only entertainment can allow."

The campaign goal is to raise $15,000. For further details about Pretty Dudes, including videos, images and information about the creative team, and to make a contribution, visit Seed & Spark.
