Angry Reader of the Week: Thien Ho

"I'm a storyteller at heart and connector of ideas and people."

Hey, everybody! Here's what's up. It is time, once again, to meet the Angry Reader of the Week, spotlighting you, the very special readers of this website. Over the years, I've been able to connect with a lot of cool folks, and this is a way of showing some appreciation and attention to the people who help make this blog what it is. This week's Angry Reader is Thien Ho.

Who are you?

I'm Thien Ho -- mom, wife, daughter, sister, friend and recovering multi-tasker.

What are you?

I'm a storyteller at heart and connector of ideas and people.

Where are you?

Currently, I'm in Echo Park eating my favorite Banh Mi at Xoia Vietnamese Eats, a restaurant my husband and I own.

Where are you from?

I was born in Hoi An, Vietnam and grew up in the Pico Union/Rampart area of LA when my family arrived in the US as refugees.

What do you do?

I am the Director of Communications for the largest American Chinese restaurant company in the world, Panda Express, a Commissioner for the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs and a small business owner. Most importantly, my husband and I are parents to our kids, Sawyer and Roman.

What are you all about?

At this stage in my life, I'm about contributing to the people, energy and environment I want to see around me and those I care about. Also, it has taken me a long time, but I'm about valuing sleep.

What makes you angry?

Waste of all kinds -- food, time, friendship, opportunities, love, the chance to connect, the last drop of a single origin pour-over. I'm also not into people who can't take a stand for one another, especially those with daughters, mothers, sisters, nieces, who aren't about empowering women.
