According to The Hollywood Reporter, the iconic actor and activist will play Bernard, "a charming ESL instructor for whom Grandma Huang (Lucille Soong) has a sweet spot." Love it. Ah, Uncle George, always the charmer.

Inspired by the bestselling memoir of chef Eddie Huang, Fresh Off The Boat tells the story of the Huangs, a Taiwanese American family getting their immigrant hustle on in 1990s suburban Orlando. The single-camera comedy stars Randall Park as Louis, Constance Wu as Jessica, Hudson Yang as Eddie, Forrest Wheeler as Emery, Ian Chen as Evan, Lucille Soong as Grandma Huang.

Takei, best known for his role as Sulu on the original Star Trek series, is reportedly shooting his episode this week on the Fox lot. The appearance will air in late October during a Halloween-themed episode.

Eventually, all of Asian American pop culture will converge on Fresh Off The Boat.

The fourth season of Fresh Off The Boat premieres October 3 on ABC.
