Angry Reader of the Week: Christy NaMee Eriksen

"Literally cannot name my feelings with feeling words but will design you a citywide scavenger hunt."

Hey, folks! You know what's up. It's time, once again, to meet the Angry Reader of the Week, spotlighting you, the very special readers of this website. Over the years, I've been able to connect with a lot of cool folks, and this is a way of showing some appreciation and attention to the people who help make this blog what it is. This week's Angry Reader is Christy NaMee Eriksen.

Who are you?

Highly sensitive Leo. Literally cannot name my feelings with feeling words but will design you a citywide scavenger hunt.

What are you?

Artist, community organizer, small business owner.

Word collector, flawed queen, INFP.

The first daughter, the real sister and the sister friend, the modern tiger mom.

Lover, fighter, writer.

Where are you?

Juneau, Alaska

Digitally here and here.

Where are you from?

pusan / south korea / the pacific / ghosts / auke bay / high school sweethearts / midwestern scandinavians / work when you get home from work / mr rogers / kristi yamaguchi / leftovers / long goodbyes

What do you do?

I'm an artist grounded in social justice and community engagement, which basically means I work deadline to deadline on creative projects that I think make the world better in some way. Some days that's teaching poetry to young people; some days it's facilitating conversations on racial justice; some days it's writing a really long Facebook post poem in an attempt to change the narrative. I own a post office that is also a gift shop that is also a community gathering space, so I'm most often curating work from other artists or organizing programs or events to bring people together. Lately I've been carving out time for my own work and nourishing all my favorite relationships, and that feels nice.

You can often find me walking my neighborhood, playing Chance at the studio, or sharing a blueberry milkshake with my son. I never check the weather and that mostly works out. I use my childhood Tetris skills on my Google calendar, I dine with my besties (all goddesses) every Friday, and breakfast is my best life hack.

What are you all about?

Bread and roses

What makes you angry?

"Great meeting. Oh, I didn't take notes; can you email what you wrote down?" - men

Also, when you are stuck in an all day thing and they have coffee but the coffee is very bad

Also, when people yell
