Hey, everybody! It's time to meet the Angry Reader of the Week, spotlighting you, the very special readers of this website. Over the years, I've been able to connect with a lot of cool folks, and this is a way of showing some appreciation and attention to the people who help make this blog what it is. This week's Angry Reader is Leena Pendharkar.
Who are you?
A writer, a director, a reader, a teacher, a mom and a friend.
What are you?
A human first, above everything, but also a woman and a storyteller.
Where are you?
In Los Angeles, sitting on my couch.
Where are you from?
Always a loaded question, but I grew up in North Carolina, and am the daughter of Indian immigrants. I've lived on the west coast for 18 years, so I am a Californian now too.
What do you do?
I tell stories, I ask questions, a lot of questions. Sometimes my questions lead me nowhere, but then they often force me to go deeper, and that's when I start writing something, and thinking about how it can be a story or a movie even.
What are you all about?
I am about defining one's existence the way one chooses, and living truthfully. And digging deeper, never stopping to ask questions.
What makes you angry?
So many things. I have have to work really hard at not being angry about everything. LOL. But human violence, and the harm that it does to people, especially children, really bothers me.
