ABOUT THE CONTEST: Calling all artists! The Korematsu Institute is looking for a logo design to commemorate Fred Korematsu's legacy. The winning design will be used on the Korematsu Institute website as well as on t-shirts and posters to celebrate California's first Fred Korematsu Day on January 30, 2011. This is the first official day named after an Asian American in US history! The ideal logo will be an image that inspires others, so it is essential for applicants to read and understand Fred Korematsu's story and why it is so relevant today.
