please say a prayer for "these attacks between the chinas"

So last week, former Miss Universe Alicia Machado expressed concern, via Twitter, about North Korea's recent attack on the South Korean island of Yeonpyeong. And that's cool -- we're all concerned about the tense situation on the Korean peninsula, right? Too bad the Venezuelan beauty queen has a little trouble telling the difference between the two Koreas... and China. Her tweet:

"Tonight I want to ask you to join me in a prayer for peace, that these attacks between the Chinas do not make our situation worse."

Perhaps Machado should get together with foreign policy expert Sarah Palin to clear up a few misconceptions about the geopolitical realities on the Korean peninsula. Not surprisingly, her gaffe apparently sparked a Twitter firestorm, and she has since closed her account.

But wait! It doesn't end there. The idiot parade continued on when Mexican singer and actress Paulina Rubio (honestly, I had to look up who she is), came to Machado's defense -- also on Twitter -- offering these brilliant words of wisdom:

"Leave Alicia alone. All Japanese people look the same and China is a very big country."

Wait, what? How the hell did Japan get involved in all this? Wow. Either she doesn't a give a damn, or really doesn't know the difference. Korea, South Japan, North China -- it's all the same, right? I guess all Asians do look alike. Please people, think before you tweet.
